A powerful new photographic series by Andrew Chapman is shining a light on organ donation for DonateLife Week 2025.

Having himself undergone two life-saving organ transplants, Andrew brings a deeply personal connection to this vital subject. His latest series, Daisy Chain, is both a tribute and a call to action, capturing the courage, hope, and generosity that organ donation represents.

Through Daisy Chain, Andrew follows the story of Melbourne couple Leanne and Steve Bruhn. Leanne needs a kidney, and while Steve is unable to donate directly due to medical incompatibility, he selflessly gives his kidney to another recipient—setting in motion a remarkable chain of generosity. This “daisy chain” links nine donors and nine recipients across Australia and New Zealand, each life touched by the gift of another.

DonateLife Week encourages Australians to consider becoming organ donors and, importantly, to discuss their decision with loved ones. Andrew’s work offers a moving reminder of the power each of us holds to save—or receive—the ultimate gift of life.
