Welcome to your complete guide on how to navigate the road closures between now and early March 2024 and get to the precinct with ease!

A continuation of the West Gate Tunnel Project is currently taking place and as a result, there will be road closures around the precinct until early March. Further work on Wurundjeri Way will also be carried out to continue building a city bypass to create better city connections from the West Gate Tunnel, Footscray Road and CityLink.

Drivers should plan ahead and allow up to 30 minutes extra travel time while lanes are closed. Below is a summary of which roads will be closed when and where is best to take a detour to get to your final destination as quickly as possible.

Fear not, there are several ways you can get to The District that don’t involve a car! Click here to check out our getting here page and discover all the different ways you can travel to the precinct including trains, trams, boats, biking and walking!
