Cherry Pie Presents: The Other Labor Day – An American Comfort Food Dinner!
You are invited to celebrate Cherry Pie’s new shop at The District Docklands with a delicious American Comfort Food Dinner!
To celebrate this milestone, Cherry Pie are taking inspiration from American Labor Day in September – a holiday many Aussies may not even know exists. With its nostalgic flavours and rich traditions, it sets the perfect backdrop for a night of comfort and connection.
This double celebration is made even more special through a collaboration between two remarkable women. Cherry Pie’s head baker Tarius is teaming up with the incredible Honey Child (@honeychildscreole) to present The Other Labor Day – a sit-down dinner where the stories of American working culture are served through soulful, home-style cooking.
This four-course dinner is more than just a meal. Every dish carries a story, passed down through generations of home cooks, perfected with love, and now served at the communal table for you to enjoy.
📅 Dates: Saturday 30 August 2025 (The Labor Day is on 1 September, which is Monday, so they decided to do it a bit earlier!)
